The Factful publishes general information about ductless mini split systems. It is not an HVAC contractor or a substitute for an inspection, diagnosis or advice from a qualified professional who knows your equipment and installation.
Models and instructions differ
A fault code, remote symbol or maintenance procedure may differ between models, series and controller versions. An article does not override the manufacturer's instructions, warranty conditions, local codes or a professional's advice. Use the manual for your exact model. A guide based on a published manual is not a claim that we have installed, repaired or tested that equipment ourselves.
Work safely
Only attempt owner checks and maintenance allowed by your manual and within your ability. Switch off and isolate power as the manufacturer directs before maintenance. Turning a unit off at the remote does not necessarily isolate electrical power.
Do not open electrical or refrigerant compartments, work on live wiring, handle refrigerant, bypass safety devices or repeatedly reset a tripping breaker. Use a qualified professional for diagnosis, electrical work, refrigerant work and repairs. Stop using equipment that smokes, sparks, smells burnt or leaks water near electrical parts. Seek appropriate help rather than continuing a troubleshooting checklist.
